Kia ora, I’m Scott.
I write copy that’s easy on the eye,
sounds great when spoken,
and gets remembered.
I’ll help you to connect with your customers
and help you grow.
We created podcasts for the Redesign of Everything. Scott listened to every episode, wrote terrific summaries for all of these to help us launch the podcast across our social channels. All done to deadline and in a shareble format that we could use straight away.
We asked Scott to help us develop Content and Benefit Descriptions for our new start up. We needed the right tone / positioning, and had to have it yesterday — he delivered!
We needed a proposal and cover note to pitch our social enterpirse projects to businesses for funding. Scott turned this around in a just a couple of days. The writing was effective at sharing our concept and engaging with businesses.
Like Neo, I’ve lead two lives. In one I’ve worked studiously as an ad executive, plying my trade in media and sales, wrapped up in marketing communications for 20+ years.
The other, I’ve spent as a writer, burning the candle at both ends, publishing two novels — there’s a third on the way, winning and completing a Mentorship through the NZ Society of Authors, while writing blogs, short stories and other articles.
I’d like to take all of these learnings and serve them up on a platter for you.
I’m based in Auckland, though can work anywhere, I’m only a keystroke away.
Say the right thing from the get-go. Connect with customers in a way that makes them want to listen, understand what you do and turn them into fans

We’ll start with a call, face-to-face via Zoom / Skype / FaceTime, or if you’d prefer, good old-fashioned audio. It’ll be a chance to get acquainted.
Once we’ve gotten to know each other, I’ll send through a reverse brief outlining what we discussed. It’ll include the job scope, deliverables, deadlines and a quote.
Armed with a signed contract and a 50% deposit, I’ll get stuck in. I’ll pull together a first draft and will send it your way by deadline — if not before! We can jump on a call to make sure we’re on the same page.
Now, it’s your turn to go over the work, send through any feedback or tweaks you’d like made. I’ll build in time for these.
Once you’re happy, pay the remainder and I’ll send the work over in your desired format. That Easy!
It’ll depend on the job and scope of the project. I like to work on a fee basis rather than an hourly fee — it’s simpler that way.
Yes, though I’ll charge more for it, +25% on total job cost if its within 48 hours.
Happy to chat!
